Thursday Evening Prayers

I come to you, Father, and give you thanks for another day to have discovered You, to know Your will and to serve Your kingdom. I seek in this moment of prayer to commune with you.
Let me know your presence in these moments together. (Be still for a moment)

At this day’s end, I submit myself before You in gratitude and contrition. Grant me healing and peace.
(Review your day with the Lord and see those places where He was present and offer a words of confession for your errors and thanksgiving for His company. Lift before the Lord those persons and needs that He has impressed upon you today.)

I pray from Your Word tonight.
Father, Your Word says that faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ (Rom. 10:17). Cause me to continue to listen to Your Word! Without Your Word, my faith will never grow.
Lord, according to Scripture, the Word is near me; it is in my mouth and in my heart, and it is the word of faith I am proclaiming (Rom. 10:8).

You don’t want me to be persuaded just by the wise and persuasive words of men but by the demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that my faith will not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power (1 Cor. 2:4-5).

(Meditate for a moment on what these prayers may mean to your life and your service to Him.)

I rest myself into your care, gracious God. Shield me as I sleep and renew me that I may better serve you tomorrow. AMEN.

May the Lord make you to lie down in green pastures, may He lead you beside still waters (Ps. 23:2, KJV).
